Description
In a splendid setting, surrounded by rice fields and orange trees, lies Mas de Bernis. This farmhouse was established as the San José agricultural colony in 1888, embodying the strength of the great agricultural estates of the 19th century. Observing its construction, we can glimpse the grandeur of a family that played a significant role in the development of the Delta.
This magnificent farmhouse was renovated in 2000 as a rural tourism house, preserving its large windows, grand doors, and spacious interiors that respect the historic atmosphere of the house. Today, it offers 6 fantastic independent apartments with a total capacity of 20 people.
Masovers: Includes 2 bedrooms (1 double bed + 2 single beds), kitchen, bathroom (shower), and living-dining room. Two-story layout.
Estiu: Includes 2 bedrooms (1 double bed + 2 single beds), open-plan kitchen, bathroom (shower), living room, and dining room. Two-story layout.
Silo: Includes 1 bedroom (1 double bed), open-plan kitchen, bathroom (shower), living room, and dining room. Apartment located on the 1st floor. The apartment is accessible only by stairs.
Senyoreta: Includes 2 bedrooms (1 double bed + 2 single beds), open-plan kitchen, bathroom (shower), and living-dining room. Apartment located on the 1st floor. The apartment is accessible only by stairs.
Casa Gran: Includes 1 bedroom (1 double bed), independent kitchen, bathroom (shower), living room, and dining room. Ground floor.
Sequers: Includes 2 bedrooms (1 double bed + 2 single beds), open-plan kitchen, bathroom (shower), and living-dining room. Ground floor.
Common Room: A separate space with wooden flooring, warm and welcoming, perfect for hosting events and various activities. It features a fully equipped kitchen and is rented separately (check rates).
The outdoor area includes private parking, a private saltwater pool, a barbecue, and a spacious courtyard with various plants and trees (bougainvillea, a vine, jasmine, mandarin trees, and century-old palm trees). A perfect place to enjoy long moments with family and friends.
Located in a very peaceful area, Mas de Bernis is just 1 km from l’Aldea, 3 km from Amposta, and halfway between Barcelona and Valencia (180 km). It is a strategic location for starting multiple excursions. From here, you can explore the Ebro Delta, with its rice fields and migratory birds, the Ports of Tortosa-Beseit, Peñíscola, the Costa Dorada, Port Aventura, and the entire southern Catalonia region.
The richness of this area allows for many outdoor activities with family or friends: going to the beach, fishing, playing sports, sailing to the river mouth, observing local flora and fauna, hiking or cycling, visiting the Natural Park, discovering local gastronomy, and more.
The Ebro Delta offers a wide range of tourist attractions. You can take beautiful walking or cycling excursions, but if you wish to explore other towns or the Delta in general, having a vehicle is highly recommended.
HOUSE RULES:
- The price includes towels and sheets (except beach/pool towels).
- Services Included (water, electricity and air conditioning)
- Pets allowed (2 pets maximum).
- The price of the stay will be added the amount of 1€ per person per night with a maximum of 7 nights and only for occupants over 16 years as a tax on stays in tourist establishments.
- Check-in Time: From 3:00pm (July and August from 5pm).
- Check-out Time: Until 11am (If availability allows, we are flexible).
- Parties are not allowed.
- Groups under 25 years old not allowed.
- Welcome/cleanning kit: 1 scouring pad, 1 dishcloth, 1 dish towel, 1 bottle of washing up liquid (30ml), 1 bar of hand soap, 2 bin bags, 2-3 dishwashers tablets, 1 kitchen roll, and 2 rolls of toilet paper per bathroom.
- For internal policy reasons, we remove all foodstuff left behind (salt, pepper, oil, ...).
- The common areas (garden, pool, parking, barbecue, etc.) will be private only if all 6 apartments are rented. Otherwise, they may be shared with other guests.
